  • Benjamin Ayebare holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management (Dip. PPM) from the Uganda Management Institute, a Bachelor’s degree in law (LL. B Hons) from Makerere University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Dip. LP)
  • Benjamin’s expertise lies in Litigation, Asset Management and Finance Advisory, Corporate and Commercial law, Land conveyancing and Investment advisory, Digital/Crypto Currency Advisory, Public-Private Partnerships, Contract reviews and execution, Security perfection and Recoveries, Due diligence [corporate and real estate], Negotiations, Dispute resolution and Project Management.
  • He is the Head of the Litigation Department at the Firm. He has successfully represented several individual clients and institutional entities including Uganda Breweries Limited, Modena Mn Group Limited, Exim Bank Uganda Limited, Housing Finance Bank Limited, Ecobank Limited, AKM Entertainment Ltd, NGOs, multi-national companies and entities in the High Court of Uganda and subordinate courts thereto in high profile litigation matters.
  • He has successfully recovered debts for various institutions such as Uganda Breweries Limited, Ecobank U Ltd, Housing Finance Bank Ltd, Exim Bank Limited and I&M Bank U Ltd. He has also recovered debts for prominent individuals in the country.
  • He has advised high net worth individuals regarding various investment portfolios such as crypto currency dealings, stocks/equities on the Uganda Securities Exchange, Treasury bonds, Corporate bonds & Treasury Bills direct from Bank of Uganda or through intermediary banks and Debt financing.
  • He acted as lead counsel in a tripartite transaction amongst NCBA bank, Purchasers and Seller which involved land conveyance and mortgage financing facility worth UGX 1.5bn.
  • He acted successfully for the Ecobank Ltd to recover a structured agricultural finance facility worth US$ 1.2 million.
  • He authored a Legal Advisory memo to MTN Mobile Money Limited in 2022 advising on procedures they can adopt/incorporate to tackle the uprising issues regarding mobile money reversals in an effort to reduce suits brought against MTN. This advice was later taken into consideration when implementing the current Mobile Money Reversal Procedures.
  • He was a Nominee for the prestigious Rising Star Award 2023 which is awarded by the Uganda Law Society in recognition of Advocates for their outstanding work.
  • Outside of the Legal Sphere, Benjamin is also an active member of the Old Budonians Club and member of the House of Representatives in the The Budo League which is an Alumni foundation.
